Notes: Several males called all night. The next morning 2 toads were found dead and partly eaten in the creek, racoon tracks were present. The surrounding area is creosote bush/Joshua tree Mohave desert. The toads were congregating and calling in two relatively more still areas of the creek. The creek runs through sandy gravel with surrounding cottonwoods. Many toads were found up to 100 m away in the cottonwoods at night, moving toward the creek. One was found dead and dried in the sun. One Red-spotted toad was also found and photographed.
