Description: Ambient recording of glaucous-winged gulls on Protection Island.
Notes: Recorded near the island's boat launch near a blind; bald eagles were present on nearby cliffs causing the birds to react occasionally, and gull chicks were also present; Temperature: 78 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity 60%, winds calm to 2 mph; recorded using Sennheiser MKH 30 and MKH 40 microphones in a stereo MS pattern to a Sound Devices 722 recorder; the glaucus-winged gulls were thought to be hybrids.

Recording Equipment: Sennheiser MKH30 and MKH 40 microphones in a stereo MS configuration to a Sound Devices 722 recorder at a 48 kHz/24 bit sampling rate.
