Description: Ambient recording of the calls of Woodhouse's toads in early morning.
Notes: Recording of Woodhouse's toads at a small pond at the Rio Mesa Center; recorder was left to run overnight; elevation 4203 feet; Sound Devices 722 recorder with Sennheiser MKH30 and MKH40 microphones in a stereo MS configuration at a 48 kHz/24 bit sampling rate; temperature at beginning of recording: 69 degrees Fahrenheit, winds 0 mph, 34% humidity. Temperatures cool and wind increases as the evening progresses and the calls of toads become more scarce. Eventually the recorder runds out of batteries, and this is the last track from that session.
