Description: Drumming sound of a Red-naped Sapsucker
Notes: Woodpecker was not observed, but drumming patterns match the species. Recorded in a cottonwood grove along the edge of upper Red Rock Lake. Conditions at 8:45 PM on 7/26/14: Temperature 76 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity 26%, wind 2 mph, skies clear. Conditions at approximately 6:30 AM on 7/26/14: Temperature 43 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity was 60% and winds were 0 to 1 mph; skies were clear and sunny.
