Description: Extended ambient recording of the calls of Woodhouse's toads.
Notes: Recording of Woodhouse's toads at a small pond at the Rio Mesa Center; recorder was left to run overnight; recording includes the sound of a duck landing in nearby reeds; elevation 4203 feet; Sound Devices 722 recorder with Sennheiser MKH30 and MKH40 microphones in a stereo MS configuration at a 48 kHz/24 bit sampling rate; temperature at beginning of recording was: 69 degrees Fahrenheit, winds 0 mph, 34% humidity. Temperatures cool as the evening progresses and the calls of toads become more scarce.
