Common Name: Unidentified Woodpecker
Date: 2020-04-12
Time: 6:10AM
Creator: Jeff Rice
Description: Two woodpeckers knock along the side of the road during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic
Notes: This was recorded on Easter morning near the junction of Swan Mill Road and Kelly Road. Normally, there would have been heavy automobile traffic near this area making recording more difficult. Travel restrictions during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic made traffic sparse and allowed the sounds of a series of woodpecker knocks to ring out mostly uninterrupted.
Location: King County (Wash.); Washington (state)
Recording Equipment: Sound Devices 722 recorder with Sennheiser MKH40 and MKH30 microphones in a stereo M/S pattern
Duration: 00:09:32
