Description: Ambient recording of Blacktail Deer Creek in Yellowstone National Park.
Notes: Recording of Blacktail Deer Creek made from a distance approximately 100 feet from the creek; wind 1.7 mph, temp 32 degrees fahrenheit, humidity 62%, skies mostly clear with clouds hugging the mountains on the periphery. Sunrise came over the mountain at approximately 8:00 AM. Recorded using Sennheiser MKH30 and MKH 40 microphones at a 48 kHz/24 bit sampling rate to a Sound Devices 722 recorder. Wolves were seen feeding on a carcass at Blacktail Lake near this location the day before. I heard some distant wolves or coyotes while standing at the top of a hill overlooking the creek at a point during this recording, but the sounds may not be audible on the recording.
Location: Blacktail Deer Creek; Yellowstone National Park; Wyoming
