Description: Coyote vocalizations at near and far distance over insect chorus and occassional domestic dog barks.
Notes: The cable was strung across the roof of the building, with the microphone dangling off of the West side and over the porch. A minimal windshield was utilized. The recording was mono at 24 bits/44.1 kHz per channel. One microphone was utilized. The cable was made by Cornell's Macaulay Library, for the Coyote Project.

Acknowledgments: Recorded for The Urban Coyote Project as part of the Cooperative Predator Vocalization Consortium, an international, interdisciplinary research group focused on achieving a fundamental understanding of the vocal communication between animals that cooperate to hunt. At Montana State University specifically, graduate and undergraduate students work with Dr. Waller to record and analyze vocalizations of coyotes, wolves, feral cats, and occasionally, bottlenose and pacific white sided dolphins, in order to map vocalizations onto the coordinated behaviors of groups and cognitive states of individuals.
