Description: The calls of boreal chorus frogs near the Nature Conservancy's Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve on a chilly spring evening
Notes: Recorded in full darkness. Air temperature was cold. There was little wind. Skies were partly cloudy. There had been light snow flurries during the day. Exact location temperature readings are not available, but according to the National Weather Service, the high temperature for the day near Salt Lake City International Airport was 48 degrees Fahrenheit, the low was 31 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures for the day were 15 degrees below normal. Recorded using Senheiser MKH30 and MKH40 microphones in an MS pattern to a Sound Devices 722 recorder at a 44.1 kHz/24 bit sampling rate. Equalization was applied to the recording to diminish some distant road noise.; Local Time: 9:15 PM
